Republic Day in India is celebrated on 26th January of every year to mark the day on which the Constitution of India came into effect. This event completed India’s transition towards becoming an independent, self-governed, democratic republic after a period of colonial rule which lasted for 200 years.

The Republic Day is one of the national festivals in India and is celebrated with a lot of zeal and fervour.
