Admission Procedure for BBA


Candidates aspiring to join BBA programme offered by Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, Noida (SCMS NOIDA) must appear for Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET – General). Being, a National Level Test, SET will be conducted in the CBT (Computer Based Test) mode simultaneously across 80 cities all over India.  

Step I: Fill up the online registration form (common for SET and the institute you have selected) Register Now (January 11, 2023 onwards)

Step II: Pay for SET and for the institute (SCMS NOIDA)
Online Payment for SCMS NOIDA – Through Net Banking, account details are available on the application form.
Offline Payment for SCMS NOIDA – Through Demand Draft in favour of "Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies" payable at NOIDA, to the Institute. In case payment is made by Demand Draft, please mention your name and the SET ID number on the back of the Demand Draft.
 

Step III: Print Admit Card for appearing in SET

*Depending on the prevailing pandemic situation of COVID-19, the schedules as well as the nature/structure of the test can change, and all tests can be conducted entirely online or entirely offline or in a combination of both modes at the discretion of SIU.

Step V: SET Results are declared. Check Result

Step VI: Shortlisting is based on merit. If shortlisted by SCMS NOIDA, the candidate needs to attend the Personal Interaction & Writing Ability Test (PI-WAT) process conducted by the institute.  

Disclaimer: It is mandatory to attend all components / tests of PI-WAT to be eligible for admission to the programme. Only candidates who attend all components / tests of selection process (PI-WAT) shall be considered as eligible for generation of merit / wait / reject list. Candidates who remain absent for any one of the component / test will be considered as ineligible for selection process of the UG degree programme of SIU.

Step VII: Appear for PI-WAT process on the date and time mentioned in the call letter. The candidate is required to bring the documents as specified in the call letter.  

Step VIII: Final result is declared on the basis on SET and PI-WAT scores, uploaded on the website. First Merit List

Eligibility

Standard XII (10+2) pass or equivalent examination from any recognized board with minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes).  

Intake

For the academic year 2023-24, the total intake is 300 seats.

Reservation of Seats

1. Within the Sanctioned Intake:

  • Scheduled Caste: 15%

  • Scheduled Tribe: 7.5%

  • Differently Abled: 3% **

2. Over & Above Sanctioned Intake:

  • Jammu and Kashmir Migrants: 2 Seats Per Programme

  • International Students: 15% (Including PIO and NRI)

** Differently Abled (DA) candidate means a candidate having any of the disabilities in accordance with the Persons with Disabilities Act – 1995 and as per revised Gazette of India Registered no: DL – (N)04/0007/2003-16 dated December 28, 2016. The candidate will have to get the disability authenticated from Symbiosis Centre of Health Care (SCHC). The admission may be considered as regularized only after due authentication by SCHC.

Process for International Students

Admissions of international students are centralized for all the constituent institutes of Symbiosis International Deemed University and are routed through the Symbiosis Centre for International Education (SCIE). Apply Now SCIE earmarks 15% of the total intake of the respective program for international students which include:

  1. Foreign National (FN): A student is eligible to apply as a Foreign National (FN) if he/she is a citizen of any country other than India and holds a foreign passport.  

  2. Person of Indian Origin (PIO): As per the Government of India notification dated 9th January 2015, all the existing Persons of Indian Origin cardholders registered as such shall be deemed to be Overseas Citizens of India cardholders.  

  3. Overseas Citizen of India (OCI): A student is eligible to apply as OCI if he/she is granted with Overseas Citizenship of India and has an OCI card.  

  4. Non Resident Indian (NRI): A student is eligible to apply as a Non Resident Indian (NRI) if he/she has appeared for either 10th or 10+2 (equivalent to the Indian 10th or 12th) examination outside India. It is mandatory for NRI students who have appeared for their 10th standard exam outside India and 12th in India to appear for the SET – General to apply for SCMS Noida. Know More
