The Alumni Cell at SCMS NOIDA serves as the bridge between the institute and its alumni community. It facilitates meaningful engagement through alumni meets, guest lectures, workshops, mentoring initiatives, internship support, and placement interactions. These initiatives enable knowledge sharing, networking, and professional development through practical insights, career guidance, and real-world perspectives. Their involvement supports curriculum relevance, student preparedness, and industry exposure.

Symbiosis Alumni Talk Series

Alumni Cell, SCMS NOIDA has started the Symbiosis Alumni Talk Series, where we invite our beloved alumni of Symbiosis International University to share their insights, experiences and expertise with our current students.

It is an exclusive opportunity for our students to learn from our distinguished alumni, gain valuable industry insights, and network with professionals in their respective fields. During each session, the alumnus shares their personal and professional journeys, provide guidance on career paths and opportunities, and offer practical tips and strategies for success.

The series features alumni from a variety of industries and all walks of life. We believe that hearing from our alumni can inspire and empower our students to achieve their full potential and make a positive impact in their careers and communities.

Session 1: Corporate Readiness 2.0

The first session of this talk series got conducted on March 14, 2023, in collaboration with the Corporate Affairs Cell and QIC, on the topic "Corporate Readiness 2.0". Speaker for the session was Ms. Stuti Pandey, an SCMS NOIDA graduate of batch 2016-19 and currently a Growth Manager at Zomato. The session started with Alumni Cell Student Head welcoming Ms Pandey where she was presented with a sapling and a token of appreciation. Thereafter, the students were given a brief introduction about the alumni speaker and the topics she was going to discuss. Next, Ms Pandey was called on the dais to share her views and take forward the session.

During the session, Ms Pandey shared her own experiences and provided practical tips on how to prepare for a successful career in the corporate world. She discussed the importance of developing essential skills such as communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving, as well as the need to build a strong network of contacts and mentors. She also emphasised on the importance of being proactive in one's career development, highlighting the need to take on challenging projects, seek out new opportunities, and continually learn and develop new skills. In this line, she also emphasized on the benefits of joining any Start-up as it will give a chance to brainstorm on new ideas. She suggested students to work on social cause which is close to their heart and get associated with relevant NGOs as well. She also shared tips on how students can build their resume and talked about importance of various points that can be mentioned on it. Ms Pandey spoke about how students can benefit by mentioning the extracurricular activities they have worked on as well.

The Q&A session was undoubtedly the highlight of the event, as it provided an opportunity for students to engage with a successful alumna and gain clarity on various topics. Ms Pandey's responses were insightful and helpful, and she showed a genuine interest in the students' questions. Her willingness to share her experiences and provide advice was highly appreciated by the attendees. The students were eager to listen to her views and opinions, and many of them took notes throughout the session.

The event ended with a Thank-You note delivered by the student member of Corporate Affairs Cell. The insights and advice provided by the alumni speaker were invaluable, and the event served as a reminder of the importance of learning from those who have walked the path before us. The series is sure to become a regular fixture at the university, and students can look forward to many more such events in the future.

Session 2: Cracking the Corporate Code: Success Strategies for Freshers and Business Analysts at MNCs

The Alumni Cell in association with QIC conducted yet another session of Symbiosis Alumni Talk Series on April 13th, 2023. The topic of discussion for this session was "Cracking the Corporate Code: Success Strategies for Freshers and Business Analysts at MNCs". It was a great pleasure to have Ms. Rupashi Seghal, a Senior Business Analyst at American Express and a member of Batch 2018-21, SCMS, NOIDA as the guest speaker for the event.

A warm welcome speech was delivered by one of the Alumni Cell members who introduced the distinguished guest speaker. Following that, the podium was handed over to the speaker. She started by expressing her gratitude to be able to return to the college, as well as sharing some memories with the students and her journey at SCMS NOIDA. Throughout her time at college, she held a number of leadership positions, one of which was head of the Literary Club. During her talk, she elaborated on her work and outlined her roles and responsibilities at American Express. For students preparing to enter the business world as a new college graduate, she provided some useful advice and guidance. The importance of LinkedIn profiles and being active on this platform was one of the key points that she stressed upon. Further she highlighted the relevance of Excel proficiency and the need to be knowledgeable about its many capabilities.

Ms. Sehgal continued by discussing the value of communication in all professions. She urged students to learn more about groups like Toastmasters, which aided in the improvement of her communication abilities. The event was then followed by a Q&A session. When asked about how tough it is for undergraduates to adjust to life in the corporate world, she highlighted some significant lessons from her own experience at AMEX. She stressed that increasing one's contribution to the work and being willing to accept additional duties demonstrate a capacity for the task, which is a crucial element for getting promoted in a job. Lastly, all the faculties and students who made this event a success were thanked.

Session 3: Your personal brand: The key to success in digital age

The Alumni Cell in association with QIC conducted another session of SCMS Noida Alumni Talk Series for the academic year 2023-2024, on 10th August, 2023. The topic of discussion for this session was " Your personal brand: The key to success in digital age ". It was a great pleasure to have Mr. Hurshul Chugh, a Co-Founder of The Societal Entertainment Group, Data and Insights Consultant at KPMG. and a member of Batch 2015-18, SCMS, NOIDA as the guest speaker for the event.

Mr Chugh briefed about his journey at SCMS NOIDA followed by explaining his journey from, following his passion as a DJ to working with corporates, starting business with his colleagues and now being a student of prestigious, Questrom School of Business, Boston University. During his talk, he elaborated on his challenges faced while working in corporate, and outlined his roles and responsibilities at KPMG. For students preparing to enter the business world as a new college graduate, he provided some useful advice and guidance. The guest speaker stressed upon the value of participating in inter-college activities and conferences throughout the session since it’s a great avenue for students to display their abilities and talents. It is a chance to interact with like-minded people, learn about fresh concepts and trends, and establish beneficial relationships with industry experts. Taking part in such activities may also highlight a student's initiative, leadership, and collaboration abilities, which can greatly improve their employability and make their resumes to stand out. The event was then followed by a Q&A session. Several questions were raised for the discussion which included Why MBA? finding co-founders, working in startups vs corporates, scope in marketing, importance of following passion, building LinkedIn profile, networking, consultancy field etc. All the questions were answered with great enthusiasm by relating them to his personal experience.

Session 4: Bridging Paths in Marketing and Finance through ESG

The Alumni Cell, in association with QIC, conducted a session of the SCMS NOIDA Alumni Talk Series on 16 February 2024 titled “Sustain Forward: Bridging Paths in Marketing and Finance through ESG.” The session featured Mr. Abhinav Goel, an alumnus of SCMS NOIDA and a professional at S&P Global with expertise in ESG ratings, financial research, and corporate analysis.

Mr. Goel shared valuable insights on the growing relevance of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks and their intersection with marketing and finance. He highlighted how sustainable practices are increasingly shaping corporate decision-making and influencing strategic business outcomes. The session emphasized the integration of ESG principles into financial analysis and brand positioning, offering students a comprehensive understanding of sustainability within corporate dynamics.

Designed as an interactive discussion, the session encouraged active student participation and addressed queries related to career pathways, skill development, and emerging opportunities in ESG-related domains. The event provided students with practical perspectives on aligning academic knowledge with evolving industry expectations.

Session 5: Squad Goals A Masterclass on Building Winning Collaborations

The Alumni Cell of SCMS NOIDA conducted another engaging session of the SCMS NOIDA Alumni Talk Series on 23 September 2024 titled “Squad Goals: A Masterclass on Building Winning Collaborations.” The session featured Mr. Dhruv Kakkar (BBA 2013–2016), AVP in the Strategic Client Coverage Group at M1xchange, who shared practical insights on building meaningful professional relationships and fostering successful collaborations. Through interactive discussions and real-world examples, he emphasized the importance of trust, shared goals, proactive conflict resolution, and leveraging digital platforms such as LinkedIn for effective networking. The session provided students with valuable exposure to corporate collaboration dynamics and equipped them with practical strategies for strengthening professional relationships beyond the classroom. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming SCMS NOIDA’s commitment to sustained alumni engagement and experiential learning opportunities.

Session 6: Strategic Mastery Lessons from the Consulting Frontlines

The Alumni Cell of Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies (SCMS) NOIDA, in collaboration with the Skills 360 degrees Club, successfully conducted Session 6 of the SCMS NOIDA Alumni Talk Series on 29 September 2025 in the Seminar Hall. The session, titled “Strategic Mastery: Lessons from the Consulting Frontlines,” featured Mr. Manan Tewari, an accomplished alumnus with experience across Accenture, Accolite, and Infosys. Addressing students interested in consulting and digital strategy, he shared practical insights into solution design, telecom product lifecycle management, compliance, and digital transformation projects, while highlighting the importance of analytical thinking, agility, and cross-functional collaboration. Structured as an interactive bootcamp-style discussion rather than a traditional lecture, the session encouraged active student participation and meaningful dialogue during the Q&A segment. The event effectively bridged classroom learning with real-world consulting practice and further strengthened alumni–student engagement at SCMS NOIDA.

Reminiscence 1.0

On 29th of October 2022, Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies NOIDA organized this year’s Alumni Meet event, titled “Reminiscence 1.0, Ek shaam unn yaadon ki”. The institute's alumni for the past 10 years were invited to the event to commemorate an evening of memories that were made on the campus. More than 60 alumni attended the event where everyone enjoyed the cultural performances by the Performing Arts team and shared a laugh over the fun activities conducted by the students, along with a hearty feast that followed.

The Alumni cell of the institute took charge of organizing the event and began preparing for the same over a month ago. More than a hundred alumni registered to attend the event on the specified date. Necessary preparations were made, including dance and music performances, catering arrangements, gifts and souvenirs, decoration vendors and others. The alumni started trickling in from 5:30 PM onwards and they were greeted at the registration desk with a souvenir from the institute. The program commenced at 6 PM with a classical dance performance by two members of Symbeats, the dance society, followed by a soothing group song madeley by members of Dhwani, the music society of SCMS, Noida. These performances were followed by a witty quiz game where the alumni were asked certain hilarious questions related to their college life. The person whose answer broke the most chuckles was declared winner and was awarded a small gift. The next game that was conducted was called Situational Antakshari where a situation was thrown at the alumni and they had to come up with the most appropriate song for it. The one who sang the most appropriate song for a given situation was awarded with a gift as well. After this, a small game of tambola was played among the alumni as well as the students. At the end, the evening concluded with a feast at the adjacent classroom where the alumni, the students, the professor and the staff enjoyed the meal.

The alumni meet of 2022 witnessed some recent, as well as old passed out students coming back on campus to reminisce about the memories made with their friends in between the corridors of this institution. Steps and Stories: Echoes That Bind

SCMS Noida celebrated its 15th Foundation Day with the Alumni Meet 2026 titled “Steps and Stories – Echoes That Bind” on 31 January 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Institute Lawns. The event witnessed the participation of approximately 70 alumni across multiple batches, creating an atmosphere of warmth, nostalgia, and renewed connection. The evening featured musical renditions and dance performances by current students, along with interactive games that encouraged cross-batch engagement. Alumni revisited familiar campus spaces, with many seen reliving cherished memories over coffee and dinner. The meet served as a meaningful platform to strengthen alumni–institute relationships and reaffirm continued alumni engagement through mentorship and collaborative initiatives.

SCMS NOIDA formally launched SymRise: Alumni Mentorship for Professional Growth on 31 October 2025 as a structured initiative to strengthen alumni engagement and enhance students’ professional preparedness. The hybrid launch brought together distinguished alumni who will mentor specific student clubs and specialization cells aligned with their expertise. The program aims to bridge academic learning with industry practice through sustained interactions, workshops, and mentorship engagements. By institutionalizing quarterly mentor–student interactions and a structured feedback mechanism, SymRise seeks to foster career readiness, leadership development, and stronger alumni–institute collaboration.

Alumni Meet 2021

The 5th Edition of the Alumni Meet-“ये उन दिनों की बात है.... ” of Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, NOIDA was organized on 22nd May 2021. SCMS NOIDA has been organizing its Alumni Meet successfully for a couple of years now. This was the first time that it was held virtually and proved to be a great success. The event was attended by more than 150 plus alumni all across the globe. The event bought back a lot of memories that came alive once again. The alumni as well as the faculty enjoyed their walk down the memory lane a lot.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. K.P.Venugopala Rao, Director, SCMS,NOIDA who gave a heartfelt welcome and addressed SCMS NOIDA’s precious Alumni. It was followed by a flashback video which refreshed the beautiful memories of the past college lives. Dr. Neelesh Kumbhojkar, Director, Symbiosis Centre for Alumni Engagement, SIU, also addressed the students and briefed them about the various initiatives taken by the university to engage the alumni in its various activities.

Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar, Pro-Chancellor, SIU, recorded a short video message for the alumni where she stated that the success of Symbiosis is from the success of the Alumni and how the former students can engage with Symbiosis and its constituents in various forms. Hon’ble Dr. Mujumdar, Chancellor, SIU, also addressed the students through a recorded video message where he expressed his happiness about how the students of Symbiosis are scattered all around the world and the importance of staying connected with one's Alma Mater. Subsequently, Mr. Narendra Singh Chaudhary, Faculty In-charge - Alumni Cell, SCMS NOIDA summed it all up with a humble vote of thanks and expressed gratitude towards the Alumni on behalf of the college.

Following that, astounding dance performances were given by the members of Symbeats, where they left everyone stunned with their show. After that, the students enjoyed the games called Guess Who and Revealing Quiz in which all alumni participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and also shared their college memories. Then followed a mesmerizing performance by the members of Dhwani where they left everyone humming to their tunes. The members of Elaan did not leave themselves behind and made sure that they put on a great show too! Alumni also left everyone astonished and mesmerized with their recorded dance performances.

Then followed the most exciting part and essence of all the Alumni Meets, former students sharing their most exciting stories with us! The Alumni shared a lot from their favorite spots in college, the mischief carried around to the success stories of their personal and professional lives! Stories were shared and memories were freshened up. The alumni meet summed up with a lot of memories being cherished, a lot of smiles being lit up and a promise to come back the next year! At the end of the day, the event was concluded with a thank you note from the side of the organizing committee.

Admission to all the courses and programmes at Symbiosis International (deemed University) (SIU) are strictly on merit basis based on the criteria and processes prescribed by the University and assessment of individual performance in Symbiosis National Aptitude Test [SNAP] for Postgraduate Studies and Symbiosis Entrance Test [SET] for Undergraduate Studies.

All aspirants / parents are hereby notified that some individuals / organisations are giving / making false and misleading advertisements / claims in newspapers, websites, social media platforms that they can ensure admission to Symbiosis International (deemed University) and also charging heavy amount for the same.

In this regard, SIU requests the aspirants / parents to refrain from entering into any transaction with such elements. SIU has not appointed any individual / agency / organisation to make such assurance on its behalf. It is a matter of Policy that SIU does not charge capitation fee for admission from students and this is widely and prominently published as well on all the relevant places like prospectus, website, SNAP Booklet, SET Booklet etc.

Despite this Notice, if any aspirant / parents still proceeds with or enters into transaction with such elements, they would be doing so at their own risk and cost. SIU further notifies that any aspirant attempting to approach SIU for admission through or at the instances of such agents will be permanently debarred from admission to all the courses and programmes at Symbiosis International (deemed University).
