Internships

Summer Internship Programme (SIP) at SCMS Noida

At Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, Noida, we are dedicated to providing a curriculum that integrates theoretical learning with practical experience. Our Summer Internship Programme (SIP) enables students to apply classroom concepts in real-world business settings, offering valuable industry exposure and professional growth. These internships act as a stepping stone in their career journey, helping them build a strong foundation in business management.

The programme is designed to help students understand business operations, organizational structures, and the ever-evolving corporate landscape.

Objectives of the Internship Programme:

The Corporate Affairs Cell (CAC) at SCMS Noida plays a key role in bridging the gap between students and industry. It supports students in securing internships by organizing industry workshops, facilitating corporate interactions, and guiding them through the SIP process.

Placements

Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies Noida has an active placement cell that works to connect its BBA students with prospective employers through internships and final placement drives. Each year, a range of companies from varied sectors visit the campus to recruit graduating students, offering roles in areas such as marketing, analytics, HR, and business development. The institute also conducts preparatory activities such as resume building, mock interviews, and industry interactions to enhance student readiness for the job market.

Preamble:

The emerging trends and innovations in this competitive world have made the institutions/industries to look for newer technologies available for their better performance. Rapid technology advancements force the industries either to recruit employees with latest technical skills or train the employees to suit to the present needs. Overview

The industry-instilled BBA curriculum empowers the student to take up their corporate journey with confidence. Corporate events like the HR Conclave, BBA Drives, Emulsification and workshops are organized by the department with a focus on polishing the skills of the future business leaders, this helps the students of SCMS NOIDA to enhance their knowledge and have an edge over others.

Leaders Insights on Future Market Trends (Part 1)

Chapter-1: Contemporary Business Practices

The academic excellence of an Institute is known by how rudimentary and relevant knowledge is disseminated among scholars enabling them to sculpt the future of their own and of society. However, keeping in view the requirement of this fast-paced world, it leads to the making of great business leaders.

Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies NOIDA launched a series of Webinars on Leaders Insights on Future Market Trends in a four-part series.

Gracing the first session was Mr. Deepak Gupta (Sr. Director, Talent Acquisition, Human Resource & CHRD) Karvy Global Services on 22nd June 2020. Mr. Gupta shared his corporate journey and emphasized proactive HR practices, emerging technologies, WFM, AI, Digital transformation and governance.

He concluded with the famous quote by Dale Carnegie: "Tough Times never last, but tough people do."

Chapter-2: Facing Business Uncertainties

SCMS NOIDA invited CA. Neelesh Vithani for the second session on 25th June 2020.

The session referred to three references as the origin of uncertainties: Black Swan, HBR Article, and Sapiens.

He emphasized innovation, communication, readiness and adaptability in uncertain environments. Using examples like Reliance and Butterfly Edufields, he demonstrated how industries adapt during disruptions.

Chapter-3: Economy and Technology Post COVID-19

Report of Webinar Series at Symbiosis Centre Management Studies-NOIDA

The disruption caused by Covid-19 created a world of uncertainty and scarcity. The session was graced by Mr. Abhishek Gupta, Americas Commercial Leader, Ernst & Young (EY).

He highlighted Industry 4.0, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Digitization and consumer behaviour changes. He cited examples like Elon Musk, Tesla, Medical sectors and UPI apps.

He concluded with: "If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving regulate it. And if it stops moving subsidize it."

Seminars and Conclave

Entrepreneurship Conclave

SCMS NOIDA organized an Entrepreneurship Conclave headed by Mr. Chirag Gupta, Ms. Meghana Narayan, Mr. Deepak Sabharwal and Mr. Sunil Goklani. The conclave was held on 22nd September 2020 through the digital medium to ensure maximum participation.

Mr. Chirag Gupta is the CEO of 4700 BC Popcorns – India's first gourmet popcorn brand serving more than 18 flavours. Ms. Meghana Narayan is the CEO of Slurrp Farms which was founded on the principle of healthy, tasty and attractive food whereas Mr. Deepak Sabharwal is the CEO of Family 1st a company which works with more than 11 states to provide essential services like free fruits, vegetables, groceries and dairy products to consumers.

The objective of this conclave was to help students to develop out-of-the-box thinking and incubate their startup ideas. The conclave was an open-house session where entrepreneurs from the industry came and shared their stories and experiences.

HR Conclave

Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, NOIDA organized the HR e-Conclave on 12th September 2020 virtually on Zoom Meeting App. The event brought together eminent and insightful professionals from the Industry on a single platform, where they shared their opinions, life experiences and knowledge pertaining to the evolution of Human Resource Management in organizations.

Caution Notice

Admission to all the courses and programmes at Symbiosis International (deemed University) (SIU) are strictly on merit basis based on the criteria and processes prescribed by the University and assessment of individual performance in Symbiosis National Aptitude Test [SNAP] for Postgraduate Studies and Symbiosis Entrance Test [SET] for Undergraduate Studies.

All aspirants / parents are hereby notified that some individuals / organisations are giving / making false and misleading advertisements / claims in newspapers, websites, social media platforms that they can ensure admission to Symbiosis International (deemed University) and also charging heavy amount for the same.

In this regard, SIU requests the aspirants / parents to refrain from entering into any transaction with such elements. SIU has not appointed any individual / agency / organisation to make such assurance on its behalf. It is a matter of Policy that SIU does not charge capitation fee for admission from students and this is widely and prominently published as well on all the relevant places like prospectus, website, SNAP Booklet, SET Booklet etc.

Despite this Notice, if any aspirant / parents still proceeds with or enters into transaction with such elements, they would be doing so at their own risk and cost. SIU further notifies that any aspirant attempting to approach SIU for admission through or at the instances of such agents will be permanently debarred from admission to all the courses and programmes at Symbiosis International (deemed University).
